Net neutrality (and why you should care)

In a recent class, we mentioned the idea of net neutrality (and its alternative, a stepped or graded Internet). This illustrated explanation shows you what is at stake. You can think of today’s Internet as something similar to the commons, and if net neutrality is not in place, or not protected, powerful corporations can “build fences” to keep you out.
